What I'd like for you to know about me is that I love my job! Getting to share my love of art and creativity with your students is a total privilege for me. I've loved everything art since I was a child. My father was a college football coach and an artist. I know, a strange combination! But, he introduced me to art at an early age and both my parents encouraged my interest in it. My father earned his Masters degree in Art when he was coaching at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. On the weekends he would take me with him to the art department while he worked on his school projects and the art students would take me under their wing and teach me cool things like throwing pottery on a wheel and doing macrame (it was the '70's!). I think I've always wanted to be for children what those college students were for me. Thank you for giving me that opportunity!Feel free to call me or email me with any questions or comments about the art program! My phone # at Foster is (281) 641-1441.

The Texas Art Educators Association has awarded Humble I.S.D. the "District of Distinction" award for oustanding leadership in promoting the visual arts in our district and community. Over 1,000 districts were eligible for this award, and only 20 earned it through an application process which required evidence shown of participation in TAEA sponsored events and beyond. I am so proud to be a member of such an amazing and passionate professional organization that truly has only the highest standards and support for it's educator's and students in the visual arts.
