Welcome to my Counselor Corner. I am Hector Ortiz, an At-Risk school counselor at Ross Sterling Middle School. I was raised in Puerto Rico and Studied here at Angelo State University. I am passionate about social-emotional learning and helping kids find their moments. I create student lessons and counselor resources that engage and encourage. I love my job, and I want to be able to support and encourage you in yours.

I strive to bear witness to your experiences, see the world through your eyes, and help you move toward being the person you want to be. I work with the challenges of bringing optimal functioning, wellness, and wisdom to your life, as well to your life, as well as with crises, disruptions, and transitions.
