Welcome to Second Grade!

My Name is Megan (Hazel) Welch and I am so excited to kick off the new school year here at FCE! I was born in Washington State but have lived in Texas for 11 years now. As they say, "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could!" I served 6 years in the Texas Army National Guard as a Motor Transportation Operator (88M) for A Co in the 536 Brigade Support Battalion out of Houston. During that time I got my Child Development Associate Credential for Infants and Toddlers and spent 5 years teaching early childhood. I graduated from Western Governors University of Texas in 2019 earning my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. FCE holds a special place in my heart as I was blessed to do my pre-clinicals and student teaching here which led to being hired on to finish the school year out with fourth grade in Spring of 2020. This year marks my fourth school year at FCE.
