Assistant Chief Journet
  • Erica Journet currently holds the position of Assistant Chief within the Humble ISD Police Department, which is where her law enforcement career began in 2005, promptly after completing her Police Training at the University of Houston Downtown in 2004. Since joining, she has had many opportunities to rise through the ranks, which have allowed her to grow both professionally and personally.

    She was promoted to Corporal in 2008, to Sergeant in 2010, to Lieutenant in 2017, to Commander in 2019 and was appointed to Assistant Chief in July 2021.

    Journet has served in various supervisory and command capacities throughout the organization including Special Operation/Patrol Commander, Investigations/Training Lieutenant, Communication/Truancy/Records Sergeant.

     Assistant Chief Journet earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Criminal Justice from Liberty University. She is a graduate of the FBI Command College and a FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award recipient. Her certifications and licenses include a Master Peace Officer Certification, Field Training Officer, Special Investigations, Mental Health Officer, Police Instructor, LETS Instructor, and holds her Intermediate Telecommunication license, she also serves as the department’s Terminal Agency Coordinator.
