Hello, and thank you for letting me be a part of the Woodcreek Community. I am excited about being a WCMS Lion! 2022-23 will be my 5th year at Woodcreek and my 11th year of teaching.
I will be teaching Algebra this year. I have been teaching Algebra at the 8th grade level all but one year of my teaching career (my 1st year at Woodcreek I taught 7th PreAp and 8th Math.) I bring a breadth of experience and a true passion for Algebra (I truly enjoy teaching it.) I received my BBA in International Business from Sam Houston State University and spent a large portion of my professional career in corporate world and the Armed Forces. Prior to becoming a teacher, I would change careers (or jobs) every 3-4 years, Teching has truly been more rewarding than any benefit or paycheck I have ever received.
My official tutoring days are Tuesday and Wednesday Afternoons from 4:05-4:35. I can be available on other days and times given prior notice and planning.
My conference period is 3rd period. Feel free to contact me to discuss what I can do to make your child's experience in Algebra a positive one. I feel that your emails and calls could NEVER be intrusive or "too much". It's your child and I am always willing to discuss how WE can ensure their success.
Useful Materials Needed:
Must Have- Spiral Notebook or Compostion Book (JUST for Algebra)
Must Have- Pencils (please check theoughout the year that your student has a supply of pencils)
Grading Pen, Pencil or Highlighter
At the request of parents last year, I am including an Amazon Wish List of things that will help my class run more smoothly:

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated!

Shout out to Alice Smith, Head Master at Llano Christian Academy.
Ms. Smith, should you come across this, know that you will always and forever be my favorite teacher. Thank you for making me feel intelligent for the 1st time in my life and instilling in me my love for Algebra. YOU are the BEST!
