I am from Houston, Texas. I attended the University of Houston with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Spanish. Later, I graduated from Angelo State University with a Masters in Educational Administration. I am certified in 4th grade through 8th grade core subjects.
This is my fifth year of teaching. I started as a substitute and fell in love with education. I enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in student lives and help them reach their ultimate goals. I have a passion for helping students pursue the impossible and achieve higher than what he/she expected. I believe children are our next generation of doctors, lawyers, teachers and nurses; therefore it is my duty to prepare them and lay down the foundation for them to be successful. My goal this year is to help my students understand math and provide them with all the resources needed to prepare for the future.
This year students will be learning new skills that will further their knowledge of math, such as interactive note-taking, study groups, and projects. They are expected to come to class prepared and be ready to learn. It is vital that they get all the practice that they need to better their skills; therefore students will receive homework daily. I am a strong believer in "it takes a village to raise a child". I will support, encourage, and better student skills and help grow them to the next stage of life.
