  • I was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. I attended college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. There I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Developmental Disabilities. After attending Pitt State, I continued my education through the University of St. Mary and earned my teaching degree in 2007. Then I decided to further my education at Webster University for my Master’s Degree. Shortly after I graduated, I started teaching in Kansas City, where I taught for seven years.

In 2013, my husband accepted a position to work for the Atlanta Braves as an area scout, which required us to move to the Houston area. We have small boys. Grayson is almost 10 years old and Oliver just turned eight. This will be my ninth year at Lakeshore Elementary. My previous years were in third grade and second grade. After ten years as a classroom teacher, I became an Extended Learning Teacher (ELT) for Lakeshore! In this position, I will support the Gifted & Talented and ESL Programs. I also work as a math intervention to support classroom teachers and students.
